He honed his skills to a great level, so he could become the leader of the Senju and ultimately, joined a peace treaty with Madara Uchiha. Together, they were responsible for forming the Hidden Leaf Village. Later, Hashirama would become the First Hokage of the Leaf.
Hashirama possessed exceptionally large chakra reserves and healing qualities, even by his Clan’s standards. This was because Hashirama was one of the reincarnates of Ashura Ōtsutsuki, which granted him the “body” of the Sage of Six Paths.
His DNA was sought by many people even after his death due to this reason. Hashirama died in the war, sometime before the First Great Ninja War.
